Virtual Strategic Energy Management (vSEM)

Virtual Strategic Energy Management™ (vSEM™) is a complimentary, year-long pilot that takes a data-driven, holistic approach to managing energy use in order to continuously improve energy performance over the long term. This program focuses on affecting organizational culture and enabling staff to impact energy consumption by integrating energy conservation and energy efficiency into daily operations and business practices.

With remote access to your facility’s interval usage data and information from you about your facility’s operations & equipment, our team of experts can pinpoint where energy is being wasted and provide customized energy-saving recommendations that are tailored to your specific business needs. 

Program Timeline*

Month 1

• Meet your Energy Coach and make a commitment to improving your energy performance over the next 12 months
• Establish energy efficiency goals to help focus the program and measure progress
• Organize an Energy Team
• Compile and document facility & equipment details

Month 2

• Assess existing operations, equipment and energy management activities
• Implement your first quick win project!

Month 3

• Identify and prioritize improvement projects needed to achieve energy efficiency goals
• Implement 2nd quick win project

Months 4-6

• Learn best practices for developing an employee engagement plan
• Meet your cohort peers to share success stories and best practices
• Continue to implement improvement projects

Months 7-11

• Learn best practices for tracking and analyzing energy data
• Continue to implement improvement projects
• Receive bi-monthly progress reports to share with stakeholders

Month 12 

• Receive a final report on your progress
• Retake the Energy Management Assessment to see how much you’ve accomplished
• Review and update goals for the next 12-36 months
• Let’s celebrate your successes!
